WEIGHTLESS premiered at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival where it won best director, best cinematography and was runner up for best drama.  It was also winner of best short script at both the Women Over Fifty Film Festival and the London Independent Story Prize.

‘On a deserted East Sussex beach, a sixty-two year old woman struggles to face down her inner demons as she makes her way into the water.’


The WOFFF21 short script judges Helen Jacey and Gabriella Apicella on WEIGHTLESS.


An incredibly accomplished and visceral depiction of an internal psychological journey made tangible through dynamic use of visual storytelling and sound design.

Biography
Louise is a past winner of the Papatango Prize and her winning play PACK ran at the Finborough Theatre for a month where it attracted rave reviews.  She's also a past winner of a Bruntwood Prize Judges' Award for SHADOW PLAY which was championed by Jackie Kay. In addition to her theatre work, she's had three radio dramas broadcast on BBC Radio 4. ALONE IN THE GARDEN WITH YOU was produced and directed by Jessica Dromgoole and THE MAN INSIDE THE RADIO IS MY DAD, starring Charlie Brooks  and SLIPPING THROUGH TIME, starring Ellie Kendrick were produced and directed by Tracey Neale.
Her debut short film stars Toyah Willcox and premiered at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival where it won best director, best cinematography and was runner up for best drama.  The script won best short script at the London Independent Story Prize, the Women Over Fifty Film Festival and was a finalist at the Waterford International Film Festival.
Louise's latest short screenplay CELEBRATING TCHAIKOVSKY is the winner of this year's UK Film Festival prize for best three minute script.
